Reserve the all-new Ender-5 Pro 3D printer with a build volume of 8.6” W x 8.6” L x 11.8” H which is large enough for almost any rapid prototype or trendy fidget from Thingiverse. The Ender-5 Pro is a powerful 3D printer with improved structural integrity, larger build volume (220 x 220 x 300mm) and smooth print operation. This equipment may be booked for up to two four-hour sessions per week. If you need more time, please speak with INNOV8 staff. 3D models and gcode files must be preapproved by one of MDC Iowa's INNOV8 Lab staff members or a volunteer 3D printing expert to ensure proper print speed, temperature, and filament selection. MDC Iowa has a large selection of 3D printer filament that can be used for printing single models - multiple prints or small batch printing projects must provide their own filament. DO NOT USE MATERIALS WITHOUT PERMISSION. The Ender-5 Pro is compatible with both the Cura and Prusa 3D slicer software. A USB drive is required to transfer your sliced gcode file to the 3D printer. If you are not familiar with how to slice your 3D model, please allow 15-20 minutes at the beginning of your reserved time to have a qualified INNOV8 staff or volunteer assist you with the initial setup.
