Large CNC - Inventables X-Carve

Service Description

Reserve the 2nd-generation Inventables X-Carve CNC machine with a working area of 29.5” x 29.5” x 4.5” which is large enough for most sign and furniture projects. Carving project files must be pre-approved by one of MDC Iowa's INNOV8 Lab staff members or a volunteer CNC subject matter expert. All project materials must be provided unless specific permission has been granted to use existing materials at the lab. DO NOT USE MATERIALS WITHOUT PERMISSION. X-Carve is compatible with Inventables Easel software. A PC is attached to the CNC machine and can be used to access your Easel projects. If you are not familiar with how to setup and configure a machine profile in Easel, please allow 15-20 minutes at the beginning of your reserved time to have a qualified INNOV8 staff or volunteer assist you with the initial setup. This equipment may be booked for up to two four-hour sessions per week. If you need more time, please speak with INNOV8 staff.
